Surveillant de l'exploitation forestière Technicien en science forestière Les techniciennes et les techniciens forestiers planifient, coordonnent et supervisent des travaux forestiers (récolte, reboisement, projets de recherche, etc.) et des travaux d’infrastructures (chemins forestiers, drainage et camps). Ils inventorient et analysent l’état de la forêt, gèrent les stocks de bois abattus et vérifient la conformité de certains travaux en milieu forestier. Dans le cadre de leurs fonctions, ils peuvent avoir à planifier des plans d’aménagement et de protection de la forêt. C’est un métier exigeant, mais gratifiant pour qui aime travailler en plein air et en nature. Un emploi comme technicien forestier exige une excellente condition physique, une bonne dextérité manuelle et des aptitudes en science, en calcul et en leadership.
