The Graphic Design Program aims to train people capable of working as professional graphic designers. Graphic designers may be self-employed or may work in specialized organizations, within the graphic communications and multimedia sector, or in companies that provide graphic communications services. Graphic designers can develop visual concepts and design display models after meeting with a customer or client. In order to accomplish this, they must make typographic choices, produce and/or choose images and illustrations to be used to carry out a project, according to the needs and expectations of the client. Graphic designers also create page layouts for prints and visual interfaces. In the case of people who are self-employed, over and above their usual tasks, they must also manage their own small business.
