Ce que tu vas apprendre

The Professional Music and Song Techniques program aims to train musicians and singers in order to evolve in different styles of popular music. These styles mainly include 20th century music and song produced as entertainment for a mass market: rock, jazz, blues, pop, industry, ethnic, folk, world Beat, etc. Specialisation A: Composition and Arrangement This specialization stream allows the students to acquire skills in arranging as well as composing music and songs. Aside from instrumental music and song, people who arrange and compose may be called upon to compose musicals as well as participate in cinema, publicity and multimedia. Specialization B: Performance This specialization stream aims to train instrumentalists and popular music singers. As performers, instrumentalists and singers may work as soloists, members of an ensemble or accompanists. They must have a high level of skills in performance and sometimes in improvisation and theatrical expression. Generally musicians work on stage or in a recording studio. Specialization C: Music Theatre Performance This specialization aims to train those in theatre performance to be able to perform a play, to sing and to dance. In addition, to be admitted to the program, students must meet the general conditions for admission set out in section 2 of the College Education Regulations, such as, for Specialization C: Music Theatre Performance; successfully completing an audition.
